What it Means to be a Bulldog
What it Means to be a Bulldog
In 2003 and 2004 Tony interviewed over 70 former Georgia players and allowed them to tell their own stories in their own words. From the late Bill Hartman, an All-American in 1937, to Fran Tarkenton in the 50s, to Herschel Walker in the 80s, to the new Millennium with David Greene and David Pollack, these Bulldogs look back at their remarkable playing careers and talk about how the lessons they learned at Georgia would impact the rest of their lives. There is one common thread: As time goes by their love for Georgia and those special years grows stronger.

There is a special Honorable Mention section for those who were not players, but nonetheless know What It Means to Be a Bulldog. That section includes UGA Legend Dan Magill, Larry Munson (the Voice of the Bulldogs for 43 season), a tribute to UGA I-VII, and the late, great, Erk Russell.

Former Georgia coach Vince Dooley and current coach Mark Richt wrote touching forewords to the book, which should be a collector’s item for Bulldog fans everywhere.
